Nordic Backcountry Ski Tour

We will meet up at Xwander headquarters and gear you up for the Nordic backcountry ski tour.

Our guide briefs us on how to use backcountry skis. After gearing up we head out to the local wilderness.

Our ski tour takes us through the backcountry where we'll get a chance to witness grazing reindeer and other local wildlife. 

In between skiing and enjoying the scenery we'll enjoy a warm lunch outdoors. 

After finishing our tour we head back to Xwander Nordic. The total duration of the tour is approximately five hours.  

• Warm Clothes: Dress in weather/activity appropriate layers
• Phone/camera, power bank if needed
• Snacks and Water: While snacks are provided, you may want to bring your favorites
• Sunglasses and sunscreen if needed

• Cancellation fee of 100% is charged if cancelled 7 days or less before the event.
• Cancellation fee of 50% is charged if cancelled 30 days or less before the event.
• Cancellation fee of 30% is charged if cancelled 45 days or less before the event.

• Physical Requirements: The tour involves skiing and staying outdoors for a longer period of time. Participants should be prepared for moderate physical activity.
• Accessibility: The experience is not fully accessible by wheelchair due to the nature of the terrain and activities. But we are able to offer accessible tour utilising our partner companies minivans with wheelchair support. Contact us for accessible options of this tour!
• Clothing and Gear: Warm clothing and suitable layers for winter sports are required. Xwander Nordic provides the skis, poles and boots for the trip.
• A temperature limit of -25°C: If the forecast for the day is colder / weather conditions unsuitable,  we will cancel and/or reschedule the trip. There is no additional fee in case the trip is cancelled by Xwander
• Minimum age of the passengers is 15 years.
