Snowshoe Trek

We'll meet up at Xwander headquarters and gear you up before heading out on the Snowshoe trek.

Our journey begins in the snow covered Inari forest, a perfectly suitable environment for spotting and identifying animal tracks and birds. Our knowledgeable guides will share insights into the behavior and habitats of the local wildlife, adding an educational touch to your adventure.

As we make our way through the forest, you'll have opportunities to observe and photograph the beautiful scenery, including views of the expansive Lake Inari.

We'll return to Xwander in Ivalo after our snowshoe trek. Total duration of the activity is two and a half hours.

• Warm Clothes: Dress in weather appropriate layers including a good hat, scarf, and socks
• Phone/camera, power bank if needed
• Snacks and Water: While snacks are provided, you may want to bring your favorites

• Cancellation fee of 100% is charged if cancelled 7 days or less before the event.
• Cancellation fee of 50% is charged if cancelled 30 days or less before the event.
• Cancellation fee of 30% is charged if cancelled 45 days or less before the event.

• Physical Requirements: The tour involves being outdoors in cold weather, so participants should be prepared for low temperatures.
• Accessibility: The experience is not fully accessible by wheelchair due to the nature of the terrain and activities. But we are able to offer accessible tour utilising our partner companies minivans with wheelchair support. Contact us for accessible options of this tour!
• Clothing and Gear: Warm clothing and suitable winter gear are essential. Overalls, warm boots, and gloves are provided if needed, but it's advisable to dress in layers
• A temperature limit of -25°C: If the forecast for the day is colder / weather conditions unsuitable,  we will cancel and/or reschedule the trip. There is no additional fee in case the trip is cancelled by Xwander
• Minimum age of the passengers is 12 years.
