Explore the rich cultural heritage of the Sámi people, the indigenous inhabitants of Lapland, during our immersive day trip in Inari. Set in the picturesque village of Inari, this guided tour offers a unique glimpse into Sámi life.
We begin by meeting up at Xwander Nordic. From Ivalo we head to the Reindeer Farm in Inari (approximately forty minute scenic drive).
At the reindeer farm, you'll meet Tuula, where you'll learn about the gentle and beloved creatures. Enjoy observing the reindeer and gaining insight into their role in Lappish life.
Next, we journey to a traditional Lappish Tipi by the shores of Muddujärvi for an open-fire lunch.
Our adventure continues with a visit to the renowned Sámi Museum "Siida". Recognized as the European Museum of the Year 2024.
The trip lasts approximately 6 hours.

Meeting at Xwander Nordic
We will meet up at Xwander headquarters. We will gear you up for the adventure with overalls, boots and gloves if needed.
Reindeer Farm Visit
At the reindeer farm, you'll meet Tuula and learn about the gentle and beloved creatures. Enjoy observing the reindeer, get to feed them and of course take lots of pictures!
Open Fire Lunch
Next, we journey to a traditional Lappish Tipi by the shores of Muddujärvi for an open-fire lunch.

Our adventure continues with a visit to the renowned Sámi Museum "Siida". Recognized as the European Museum of the Year 2024.

- Physical Requirements: The tour involves being outdoors in cold weather, so participants should be prepared for low temperatures. There is a warm tent and an indoor toilet in the camp
- Family-Friendly: This tour is family-friendly. However, we recommend it for children aged 8 and older. Younger children may not fully appreciate the museum content and may find the time spent sitting in the car challenging. For younger children we have optional activities like Winter Fun Camp.
- Accessibility: The experience is not fully accessible by wheelchair due to the nature of the terrain and activities. But we are able to offer accessible tour utilising our partner companies minivans with wheelchair support. Contact us for accessible options of this tour!
- Clothing and Gear: Warm clothing and suitable winter gear are essential. Overalls, warm boots, and gloves are provided if needed, but it's advisable to dress in layers
