The Winter Fun Camp offer an exciting winter experience for participants of all ages. Located just 10 minutes for Ivalo, the camp is full of Arctic fun. This program runs parallel to Arctic Fishing tour, so you can choose to split your group, with children and teens joining the Winter Fun program while parents focus on Arctic Fishing.
Our activities are tailored to suit different age groups and skill level, ensuring fun for everyone from 4-year-olds to adults.
Day Activities
These activities are included in the Winter Fun Camp day:
- Snow Games and Tobogganing: Enjoy various snow games and toboggan down gentle slopes. This activity is both fun and safe, providing a great way to experience the snowy landscape.
- Ice Fishing Intro: Experience a brief introduction to ice fishing, ice fishing, including checking the catch of the day from our pre-set nets.
- Fire Making: Learn the essential skill of making a fire in winter conditions.
- Hot Chocolate Station with Marshmallow Roasting and Puzzles: Warm up at our DIY hot chocolate station where you can add your own marshmallows (which you can roast over the fire you helped make), whipped cream, and sprinkles. Engage in fun puzzles at the hot chocolate station, perfect for warming up and stimulating the mind.
Group & Condition-Based Activities
Some of these activities might be included in the day based on the ages of the children and weather conditions. We are happy to accommodate wishes and preferences for what your group would like to try out!
- Snowshoeing: Explore the winter wilderness on snowshoes, allowing you to walk easily on top of the snow and experience that beauty of snowy forests and landscapes.
- Winter Survival Skills: Learn essential skills such as building a snow shelter and navigating using a map and compass.
- Kicksledding: Try this traditional Nordic winter transport method, perfect for gliding across frozen lakes or snowy paths.
- Snowman Building Contest: Get creative and complete to build the most impressive or unique snowman.
- Treasure Hunt in the Show: Embark on an exciting treasure through the snowy landscape, solving clues and finding hidden prizes.
- Snowball Target Practice: Improve your aim with a fun and safe snowball throwing competition.

What is the cancellation policy?
- Cancellation fee of 100% is charged if cancelled 7 days or less before the event.
- Cancellation fee of 50% is charged if cancelled 30 days or less before the event.
- Cancellation fee of 30% is charged if cancelled 45 days or less before the event.
What do I need to bring?
- Warm Clothes: Dress in weather appropriate layers, including a good hat, scarf and socks
- Phone, camera and a battery bank if needed

- The exact content of each day is designed with participants and adapted to weather conditions, ensuring a unique and optimal experience for everyone.
- On the same day, the Winter Fun Camp can look very different for 4-year-olds and 14-year-olds, with activities adjusted to suit different age groups and skill levels.
- We will send you photos of the day (if you want us to!).
- All activities are subject to weather conditions and participant preferences, allowing for a personalized winter adventure in the heart of Northern Lapland.
